The Judge for Marion County’s Juvenile Courts says she’s seen a sharp increase in armed robberies involving minors and she is not very optimistic that things will get better this summer in Indianapolis.

Moores says the juvenile offenders are carrying weapons that many of them say they need for protection, but they also coming from broken homes and third and fourth generations of families impacted by poverty.
