Marion County’s government is easing some of its COVID-19 restrictions.

Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett announced today that on Monday bars and restaurants can go to 50-percent capacity,   however, they still have to close at midnight and practice social distancing.

The city’s seven-day average infection rate is 4.9 percent.

The city also eased restrictions on high school sporting activities.  In addition,   live entertainment can resume at bars, clubs and performance venues, but only with a 10-foot buffer between stages and audiences. Audiences must also practice social distancing.

Museums, cultural and entertainment venues will be allowed to operate at 50 percent capacity.   Gyms and fitness centers may expand to 50 percent capacity.   Church and funeral services may be held  at 75 percent capacity, indoors.
