The Indiana businessman who figured out how to legally sell cold beer at his gas stations, Jay Ricker, offers his thoughts as Indiana lawmakers begin the process of rewriting the state’s alcohol code, which currently outlaws that activity in most cases.

A special summer study committee held its first meeting this week on rewriting the state’s alcohol laws.

Ricker, who has been advocating cold beer sales in convenience and grocery stores, says some things should be easy to fix, but special interests won’t allow that to happen.

You can hear Ricker in the Leon-Tailored Audio above.  It runs about nine minutes.
