House Speaker Brian C. Bosma released the House Republican legislative agenda Thursday, which focuses on supporting a funding boost for K-12 schools, strengthening Indiana’s workforce, attacking the opioid epidemic and increasing government efficiency.

Indiana public schools were facing a $17 million shortfall due to an underestimation of current enrollment.  Bosma says lawmakers can plug that hole with education reserve funds.

He also says lawmaker will introduce a measure sun setting many of Indiana’s workforce development programs in 2019, so they can begin the process of reorganizing and eliminating what doesn’t work.
