An arrest warrant has been issued for a former 7th District Congressional candidate.
Gabriel Whitley has been charged with a Class 6 Felony for intimidation.
The indictment stems from social media posts where he posted a photo of the home of Indy Politics editor Abdul-Hakim Shabazz, and encouraged violence against him.
The public records have been sealed.
Whitley received the indictment via mail. His initial bond is $2500 and includes GPS monitoring, however the Marion County Prosecutor’s office has filed a motion to increase that amount.
In Indiana, the penalty for a Level 6 felony can range from six months to two and a half years in prison and a fine of up to $10,00
Whitley posted the following response on his Facebook page.
I don’t care who you are, I will treat you with the same energy. They are officially charging me with a low level Class D Felony for allegedly domestic abuse for trolling the disgraced négrø lawyer at WIBC. They apparently can’t come in my house to arrest me because we have a No Knock Raid. This is the funniest shit ever. He threatened my life earlier and now he is having his friend Mears to lock me up. Kangaroo court.
