The head of the Indiana Black Legislative Caucus says their agenda will help address Indianapolis’ rising murder and crime rates.
In 2020, the city saw 214 murders, a record year. In addition, blacks who are only 30 percent of the city’s population were more than 70-percent of the murder victims.
State Representative Robin Shackleford says their agenda includes a number of items that, given time, will help address the murder problem.
