Indiana State Republican Convention delegates chose Noblesville Conservative Pastor Micah Beckwith over State Representative Julie McGuire, by fewer than 80 votes.
Beckwith won 51-49, getting 891 votes while McGuire received 828.
McGuire was gubernatorial Mike Braun’s pick.
In a media availability Braun stated he respected the delegates choice, but at the same time stated he was running the show.
