Republicans John Schmitz and Natalie Goodwin made their cases Monday night to Marion County Precinct Committeemen about why they should be next to run the County Party.

Current Chairman Joe Elsener is stepping down.

The two talked about their backgrounds, reaching out to new voters, building an organization, holding Democrats accountable and, most importantly, raising money.

You can hear Schmitz and Goodwin in the Leon-Tailored Audio above.

Each segment runs for about 20 minutes.

Republicans will caucus on March 1st.

Mirror Indy has the latest on the Democratic race for county chair.   That contest features incumbent Myla Elridge and Pike Township Trustee Annette Johnson.
