Indiana Democrats rallied Thursday evening encouraging their constituents to get out and support President Joe Biden’s jobs proposal.
U.S. Congressman André Carson, Indiana AFL-CIO President Brett Voorhies, Central Indiana Building Trades President Jon Hooker, and Indianapolis City-County Councillor Ali Brown l held a discussion with union members and Hoosiers about the upcoming American Jobs Plan.
Congressman Carson, Democrats, and union workers highlighted why Indiana needs the Jobs Plan and how it will create good-paying jobs, strengthen unions, and revitalize the state’s infrastructure system – including broadband expansion, childcare access, and veterans’ health care. Democrats will also call for the passage of the Protect the Right to Organize (PRO) Act – which will help repair the damage brought by Indiana Republicans after they forced so-called “right to work” laws in the state nearly a decade ago.
Further, Carson and Democrats also touted how they delivered for Hoosier families by passing the successful American Rescue Plan.
