Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb declined to say whether his office was preparing to make an appointment in the event Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita loses his law license and is unable to practice law.

Holcomb made his comments Wednesday after appointing Porter County Circuit Court Judge Mary DeBoer to the Indiana Court of Appeals.

DeBoer was Holcomb’s seventh appointment to the Appellate Court and his 113th judicial appointment overall.

Rokita is under investigation for another alleged violation of the attorney rules of conduct.
