As the Indianapolis City-County council begins to draft a budget, the Democrat and Republican leaders say tax increases are off the table, despite the fact that the city will bring in millions less in revenue.

The city of Indianapolis is expecting at least $20 million less in property tax revenue and the remaining COVID-19 relief dollars will dry up this year as well.  

Council President Vop Osili says they will take a scapel to the budget, while Republican leader Micheal Paul-Hart and the Council Republicans are suggesting  a one-percent cut across the board.
