Republican City-County Councilor Jeff Miller says while the city has more revenue to work with than it has in years, he still has a lot of questions about Mayor Joe Hogsett’s budget.
The Council is currently reviewing the Mayor’s spending plan and Miller questions the size of the “structural deficit” as well as other city accounting measures.
Miller says the Mayor’s office has given different numbers on the size of the structural deficit, making it hard for some Councilors to know exactly what the number is.
He also questions what the city is spending on public safety and whether Hogsett is spending all available transportation dollars on roads.
You can hear Miller in the Leon-Tailored audio above. It runs about nine minutes.
