There’s mixed reaction to Governor Mike Pence’s changes to the BMV.
Pence announced Monday that current Commissioner Don Snemis would be stepping down and Kent Abernathy, currently at the Department of Environmental Management, would be taking his place. This comes in the wake of the discovery of another $2 million in overcharges to Hoosiers. Pence said a new audit system will be put in place to help prevent future overcharges.
We spoke with House Transportation Committee members Ed Soliday and Dan Forestal for their reaction as the committee has oversight of the BMV.
