There’s more controversy surrounding the deputy township constables in Marion County.
The deputies are losing access to police reports and other related criminal justice information.
Indiana State Police is the provider of that information and, after a review, made the decision to deny the deputy constables access.
Indy Politics was told that because the deputies were not certified as law enforcement under state statute, they could not have access to the information.

This is another controversy hitting township constables.
Last month, following a dispute between the Center Township constable and small claims court, Judge Brenda Roper issued an order mandating that service of process and summons be done in Center Township by the other township constables and not Denise Paul Hatch.
Paul Hatch is reportedly looking at filing legal action against the Small Claims Court.
