We here at Indy Politics just finished up our poll of Republican primary voters. We, and our friends at ARW Strategies and Crossroads Public Affairs, surveyed 500 GOP likely voters and it had a margin of error of 4.8 percent.
We’re going to spend the next few days reviewing the results, but we did notice some interesting trends that we can share…
- There are more than enough undecided voters to impact the outcome of the governor’s race.
- Donald Trump, Eric Holcomb, and Todd Rokita’s approval ratings are all north of 50 percent; Trump had the highest, and Rokita had the lowest.
- A significant minority of Republicans say they will vote for someone other than Donald Trump for President.
- Immigration and inflation are the two most important issues facing Republican voters.
- A solid majority supports leaving Indiana’s ballot access laws as is. And an even bigger majority support the legalization of marijuana for either recreational or medical purposes.
We’ll start publicly releasing the results on Tuesday, April 2. However, if you’d like a sneak preview, be sure to check out this weekend’s Cheat Sheet. If you’re not a subscriber, click here.
