Indy Politics speaks with State Senator Eric Koch of Bedford regarding legislation he has authored to change the Indiana Constitution regarding bail.
Under the proposal, the Constitution would allow judges to deny bail for any defendant who passed a “substantial risk” to public safety.
Currently, the law only allows for no bail in cases of murder or treason.
