Marion County bar and tavern owners say they are not happy with new COVID-19 rules by the city and county health departments that allow them to re-open at 25 percent capacity indoors and 50 percent outside.

The Mayor and County Health Department this week announced bars, taverns, and night clubs could reopen on Tuesday, but they would have to be at 25-percent capacity for indoor seating, 50-percent for outdoors, and no dancing or live music.

Indy Politics spoke with Brad Klopfenstein of the Indiana Licensed Beverage Association.

Klopfenstein says bars and taverns have struggled over the past few months and the new rules don’t help.
