Incumbent Pete Visclosky is the first Democrat to file for office Congressional office while two Republicans are vying for Andre Carson’s seat in the 7th District.
That’s according to a report provided by the Indiana Secretary of State and the Elections Division.
Wednesday was the first day for candidates to file for the February primary.
