Republican State Representative Curt Nisly says he will introduce a new measure on Thursday to end the Governor’s state of emergency that has been in place since March of last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nisly introduced a resolution on Organization Day that would have ended the state emergency. That measure was sent to the House Rules Committee.
He plans to introduce a new one on Thursday, arguing that since Organization Day, the Governor has extended the state of emergency.
In addition, by doing a resolution Nisly’s supporters say the Speaker can bring up the measure for a floor vote.
You can hear Nisly, as well as the former Libertarian candidate for Governor Donald Rainwater, in the Leon-Tailored Audio above.
