This has been a jam-packed busy day over at the Indiana General Assembly.
Here’s a quick rundown…
The House Pension and Labor Committee moved forward with legislation repealing the state’s common construction wage statute which means local governments would no longer have to pay union-scale wages on public projects.
The House and Senate moved forward with changes to the ISTEP exam. And the Senate also voted to allow the State Board of Education to choose its own chairperson.
Lawmakers also heard testimony this morning on the House GOP’s proposed budget.
And here is reaction to today’s events from Governor Mike Pence and House Speaker Brian Bosma.
