Removing the bail requirement for non-violent offenders, scholarships for minorities that want to go into the medical field and more contracting opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses were some of the legislative priorities black lawmakers spelled out for the 2022 legislative session.
The members of the Indiana Black Legislative Caucus released their top agenda items for this session, including the elimination of the business personal property tax as well as more diversity on corporate boards.
