A new proposed Criminal Justice Center in Boone County is caught up in a fight between the County Council and the County Commissioners.
Proponents, like County Commissioner Jeff Wolf, say the Council is delaying the project unnecessarily, and the delay is adding to its costs.
Meanwhile, County Council President Elise Nieshalla says they need more information about the project before imposing a tax increase that would be needed for the jail could go forward.
You can hear Wolf and Nieshalla in the Leon-Tailored audio above.
