A poll commissioned by Tom McDermott’s U.S. Senate campaign shows a close race between the Democrat and Republican incumbent Todd Young.

The poll conducted by Change Research shows Young at 45 percent  and McDermott at 42 percent, 13 percent were undecided.

The poll did not list Libertarian James Sceniak.

The sample size was 2,111 likely voters and was conducted August 20-24.   The margin of error was +/- 2.26 percent.

The Young campaign disputed the polls results because it was conducted online.

Indy Politics spoke to McDermott about the results.
