NBC News has published an analysis of early voting so far in the Hoosier state and it shows Republicans and Democrats are tied when it comes to mail-in voting, but the GOP has an edge when in-person voting is calculated.

As of October 30,  more than 291,000 voters have either voted in person or requested mail-in ballots; nearly 157,000 are mail-in.

When it came to breakdown by party, Democrats and Republicans are tied at 43 percent each in mail-in voting; 14 percent identified as independent.

However, when in-person voting is factored in, Republicans lead 49-40 percent and independents make up 11 percent.

Most of the early voting was done by those over age 65, women made up a majority of the early votes cast and 66 percent of the vote has been cast in person.

The election is next Tuesday.
