The Indianapolis City-County County will spend up to $300,000 to draw new Council maps.

According to the contract signed with Ice Miller LLP, earlier this month,  the council will make four monthly payments of $75,000.

The contract covers the following…

  1. Legal services in connection with the redistricting process.
  2. Technical services in connection with item 1) utilizing licensed software to draw maps reflecting Council districts in compliance with applicable laws and the direction of the Council; 
  3. And communications and input/outreach services and meeting coordination in connection with item 1) through Engaging Solutions LLC as a subcontractor.

The agreement does not cover any litigation resulting from redistricting.

The contract runs through March 31, 2022.
