Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett today announced $11 million in H.E.L.P. (Hospitality Establishment Lifeline Payment) grants to assist the hospitality industry.

The money can be used to help restaurants, bars and other entertainment venues pay rent.

Through this program, property owners and tenants can jointly apply for unpaid and/or future rent from April 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020, capped at $25,000 per property. The payments will go directly to the Property Owner which protects the Tenant from eviction.

Applicants can apply at the Indy Chamber’s website by clicking here.  The applications will be accepted through November 6.

You can hear the Mayor and his administration in the Leon-Tailored Audio above.

It runs about 35 minutes.
