An internal poll conducted on behalf of Congressman Luke Messer regarding the U.S. Senate primary shows the race a virtual tie with likely challenger Todd Rokita.

The survey of 400 likely Republican primary voters showed Messer with 27 percent support, Rokita with 26 percent support and 48 percent were undecided.

When other candidates were added it was  Messer -23%, Rokita – 23%, Attorney General Curtis Hill – 4%, State Rep. Mike Braun – 2%, Mark Hurt – 1%, Terry Henderson – 1%, Andrew Takimi – 1%, Undecided – 45%

Messer’s favorable/unfavorable was 22-6.  Rokita’s was  31-7.

The poll also showed President Donald Trump with an 82% approval rating with GOP primary voters.

The survey was conducted on July 10-12 and had a margin of error of +/- 4.9%.
