Indy Politics takes a look at Indiana’s jobs and manufacturing climate from a number of different perspectives including Brian Burton of the Indiana Manufacturer’s Association, Brett Voorhies of the Indiana AFL-CIO, Gerry Dick of Inside Indiana Business and U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly.
The state has netted more than 100,000 new jobs since 2013, however not all Hoosiers have participated in that prosperity.
Voorhies argues that many of those new jobs are not high paying, while Burton says manufacturing continues to be the largest driver of the state’s economic engine.
Donnelly meanwhile, discusses a proposal that would penalize American companies that take jobs overseas, while Dick provides an overview of the state’s job environment.
