Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett is calling on state lawmakers to cast aside what he labeled as old divisions between urban and rural parts of the state in order to create a better Indiana.
Hogsett made his address at the annual Bingham Greenebaum Doll end of year legislative conference.
He told the audience that by working together, lawmakers can improve all of Indiana.
He also called on them to include more civil protections based on gender identity, improve the lives of families and children and to make sure Indiana was a state that worked for neighborhoods as well as businesses.
You can hear Hogsett in the Leon-Tailored Audio above. Each segment runs about 15 minutes.
