The Republican candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction has unveiled her “lesson plan” for Indiana schools which includes better cooperation between the Superintendent of Public Instruction and local school districts.
In a news conference today, Dr. Jennifer McCormick says the Department needs to work better with schools and make them a partner when implementing policy.
She also wants to address the teacher shortage by addressing issues of pay as well as the perception in some circles that teachers are not valued.
