Experience, violent crime,  dealing with repeat offenders, and prosecutorial discretion were all topics of discussion Tuesday night at a forum featuring incumbent Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears and challenger Cyndi Carrasco.

The two participated in a public safety forum hosted by the North Shadeland Alliance, a local community organization at Castleton United Methodist Church.

Mears highlighted the fact that criminal homicides are down in Marion County, while Carrasco pointed to recent polling showing more than 75 percent of Marion County residents think the city is less safe than it was last year.

You can hear the two in the Leon-Tailored Audio above.

Each segment runs for about 20 minutes.
