More than half the counties in Indiana have an unemployment rate either at or below the state average of 3.8 percent.
Indiana Department of Workforce Development reported this month that the state’s unemployment rate was near a record low and 48 counties have unemployment rates either at or below 3.8 percent.
Dubois, Elkhart, and LaGrange counties have the lowest unemployment rates, at 2.8 percent.
The county with the highest unemployment rate is Vermillion County with 5.9 percent.
Marion County’s unemployment rate is 3.8 percent.
