Indy Politics has learned that the FBI search of former Congressional candidate Gabriel Whitley concerned his campaign finance reports.
Whitley filed reports showing he had raised more than $360,000 thousand dollars in his race to win the Republican primary in May.
Whitley came in 5th place.
Whitley posted this response on his Facebook page.
“I have never been in trouble with the law and we all know this is a witch-hunt. They have raided my house like the Former President Trump. This is the definition of a persecution.”
The US Attorney’s office declined to comment.
