A new poll from Public Opinion Strategies on environmental policy shows conservatives in Indiana favor a more free market approach, especially when it comes to manufacturing.

The poll surveyed 500 Republican voters and had a margin of error   +/- 5 percent.

Here are some of the key findings.

  • Republicans want the federal government to do more to help Indiana’s manufacturers compete globally
  • High pollution policies help make China a threat to US economic security
  • Republicans support policies to level the playing field for American manufacturers
  • The carbon pollution import fee is very popular with Republican voters
