By a vote of 28-19, the Indiana Senate concurred with the Indiana House of Representatives, passing a near-total ban on abortion.
SB 1 limits abortion to rape and incest (up until 10 weeks) and for the life of the mother.
It contains no new criminal penalties for health care providers, but they can lose their license.
