If Indiana lawmakers want to adjourn by next week, they’ll have a lot of heavy lifting to do.
Lawmakers still have to pass a budget and in the process plug a $100-$150 million shortfall, deal with gaming legislation, finalize teacher pay and pass a bill addressing the Capital Improvement Board in Indianapolis.
Both House Speaker Brian Bosma and Senate President Pro Tempore Rod Bray say they can get done next week, but it’s expected to be a lot closer to Thursday.
