Indiana Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch is giving $1 million to her likely running mate, Governor Eric Holcomb for his re-election bid.
Crouch made the announcement at a fundraising event where Holcomb announced a separate on million dollar haul that evening.
“As Indiana’s lieutenant governor, I’m proud of the results Governor Holcomb and I are delivering for Hoosiers of all walks of life,” said Crouch. “We’re working hard to create opportunities for Hoosiers as we renew our commitment to job creation, smart investment, and education policy. Our state’s greatest challenges are our biggest focus. And with that focus in mind, I’m proud to have this historic outpouring of support from Hoosiers across the state for our efforts.”
The campaigns of Governor Holcomb, Lt. Governor Crouch and the Indiana Republican Party posted a combined $5.745 million cash on hand at the end of 2018, which was more than any previous combined total following a governor’s second year in office. To date, Lt. Governor Crouch had previously transferred $400,000 in contributions to Governor Holcomb’s campaign account.
The Governor is expected to make his formal re-election announcement in Knightstown on Saturday, July 13.
