Carmel City Council President Sue  Finkam is getting in the race to replace outgoing State Senator Luke Kenley. President says she is running fo Senate District 20 in the upcoming caucus to fill the seat held by longtime Senator Luke Kenley.

Finkam announced this week she is running fo Senate District 20 in the upcoming caucus.  to fill the seat held by longtime Senator Luke Kenley.

“After speaking with local business and community leaders, it is readily apparent they are looking for a champion who will lead with a laser-like focus to advance the interests of the four unique, fast-growing Hamilton County communities that make up this district,” said Finkam. “I will listen, learn and work tirelessly around the clock to ensure local needs are put first.”

“However, it’s not enough for me to just fill this seat. I want to reinvent it. I am an innovative, anticipatory leader who lacks patience with the status quo. I look forward to working with local leaders to craft a new role description for Senate District 20 that ensures Hamilton County is boldly represented and effectively positioned for success.”

Finkam works for the Indiana Donor Network, which promotes organ and tissue donation.  She is also serving her second term on the Carmel City Council.

Nobleville Council President Megan Wiles announced earlier in the week that she was planning to get in the race as well.
