The owner of Rocket Fizz on Monument Circle says she still feels safe downtown despite the fact one of her managers was allegedly attacked by teenagers she tried to prevent from shoplifting.
According to police, several teenagers entered the store on Saturday evening about 8 p.m. began shoplifting and when they were approached by the assistant manager, one of them assaulted her.
Kim Nething, the owner of Rocket Fizz spoke to Indy Politics. She commended police as well as some of the bystanders who took photographs.
She says she still feels safe downtown and crime can happen anywhere.
