It was a contentious Pike Township Board meeting Wednesday night as the Board voted to hire its own attorney, rent office space and get business cards. The problem was that the Board didn’t have the legal authority to spend money.
The Board and Trustee Annette Johnson have been at odds for months. Johnson has accused the Board of usurping her authority. The Board has said it wants more accountability.
