When asked whether Nancy Pelosi should be elected Speaker if Democrats win back the House, Congressman Andre Carson said there were a lot of quality candidates who could do the job.
Carson made his comments right before kicking off a job fair at Ivy Tech’s main campus in Indianapolis.
His answer was in response to an article at POLITICO about how the next Speaker could be an African-American, the first in the nation’s history, should Democrats win back the House.
Carson also talked about the upcoming midterms and whether this past year’s divisive Democratic primary for Marion County Sheriff will hurt the party in the Fall.
