On June 7, we reported in the Cheat Sheet that State Rep. Mike Braun (R-Jasper) was looking at running for the U.S. Senate.
He’s stopped looking.
My colleagues at WIBC report that Braun has decided to get into the race. He is assembling a campaign team and will have a formal announcement in the next week or so.
If he gets in, his main challenges will be Congressmen Todd Rokita and Luke Messer. The most recent internal polls released by the campaigns show a close contest with nearly half the Republican primary voters undecided.
Braun owns a distribution company in Southern Indiana.
