Indiana lawmakers spent their one day of “special session” passing legislation regarding the takeover of Gary and Muncie schools, school safety and changing Indiana’s tax code to be more in sync with the federal government.
Lawmakers failed to pass the four bills by their March adjournment date so they had to come back.
Outgoing Senate President Pro Tempore David Long told the media he was not happy lawmakers had to come back, but he was pleased they got the job done.
