The candidates who want to replace retiring State Senator Luke Kenley made their cases Wednesday night to the precinct committeemen who will make the decision.

The seven candidates were Hamilton County Council Member Brad Beaver, Carmel City Council President Sue Finkham,  business men Mark Hall, Joe Morris, former Mike Pence aide Dan Schmidt, Indiana Attorney General CFO Victoria Spartz,  and Noblesville Common Council Megan Wiles.

The panel discussed school funding, local control, opioid abuse, workforce development and Sunday alcohol sales.
