Indy Politics talks to House Transportation Committee Chairman Ed Soliday and Senate Appropriations Chairman Luke Kenley about the differences in two chambers’ transportation funding plans and whether they can reach a compromise.
The House plan would raise the gas tax and cigarette taxes to pay for roads, while the Senate plan relies heavily on borrowing and dipping into the state surplus and local road trust fund.
Both chambers have passed their respective proposals and seem somewhat skeptical of the others plans.
You can hear both in the Leon-Tailored Audio above. Each segment runs about six minutes each.
