One national advocacy group says Americans who live in rural areas are most likely to be harmed by proposed GOP changes to the Affordable Care Act.

Protect Our Care says the ACA  has provided thousands of rural Hoosiers with access to quality care and also lowered the uninsured rate by six percent.    The group also says the ACA  helped Indiana hospitals’ uncompensated care costs decrease by $219 million, or roughly 24 percent and it has helped rural hospitals avoid closure, unlike many other states.

Indy Politics spoke with Protect Our Care Indiana spokesperson Kate Shepherd.
