Donald Trump and Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch were the winners in the 6th Congressional District straw poll.
Five of the six gubernatorial candidates spoke forum-style, including opening and closing statements, with Q&A in between.
Q&A took place based on the popularity of questions submitted by the audience on 3×5 cards collected by volunteers and brought forward to moderator/organizer Nate LaMar.
Gubernatorial straw poll results were as follows:
- Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch 19 votes
- Curtis Hill 16 votes
- US Senator Mike Braun 8 votes
- Eric Doden 3 votes
- Jamie Reitenour 1 vote
Presidential straw poll results were as follows:
- Donald Trump 35 votes
- Nikki Haley 12 votes
The Henry County Republican Club hosted the straw poll with the blessing of the 6 th CD Republican Central Committee.
