Hamilton County Republicans chose former County Vice-Chair and CPA Victoria Spartz to replace outgoing State Senator Luke Kenley.
Spartz was selected after six rounds of voting and defeating a half dozen other candidates.
The Noblesville Republican and Ukraine native says she is an advocate for low taxes and limited government as well as civility and collaboration.
She currently works as the Chief Financial Officer for the Indiana Attorney General. It is unclear whether she will be able to keep that position once she is sworn into the Senate.
