Former Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard says he was “honored” to meet today with members of President Elect Donald Trump’s transition team.
Ballard flew to New York City this morning.
He released the following statement…
“As was reported, I went to New York City today to meet with members of President-Elect Trump’s transition team. We had a wide-ranging discussion, and I was deeply impressed by the knowledge and professionalism of the people in the room. It is an honor to be asked to participate in this process, and I look forward to further conversations.”
It is unclear exactly what position Ballard would take in the Trump administration, the Mayor’s expertise in veterans issues as well as sustainability, energy and his work with other municipalities.
Ballard served as Indy Mayor from 2008-2014.
