The Boone County Sheriff is under investigation for possible misappropriation of government property.
According to sources, Mike Nielsen may have given away county property without following proper procedure.
Indy Politics reached out to Kent Eastwood, the Boone County Prosecutor, who released the following statement.
“Yes, we are in receipt of an accusation consistent with your tip. We are in the process of doing a preliminary inquiry to determine if there is any validity to this accusation. Once that preliminary inquiry is completed, I will let you know what course of action if any this office will be taking. Thank you for reaching out.
